This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) sets out how Financial Insight Ventures Private Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Finsight”, “we”, “us” and “our” as the context may require) uses, discloses and protects any information that you (hereinafter referred to as “User”, “you” or “your” as the context may require) provide to us or that we collect, when you use finsightventures.in (“Website”) or in ordinary course of business or that we collect directly from you, for your use of services offered by Finsight (“Services”).
We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is protected and we recognize the need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information (together, “Personal Information”) that you share with us. Accordingly, we collect, process and disclose Personal Information in a manner consistent with the laws of the countries in which we do business.
This Privacy Policy applies to Finsight and governs data collection and usage by Finsight, including such data collection and usage (if any) at this Website. By entering into the Website, you expressly agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, as applicable.
Finsight will always ensure that we handle your Personal Information, including SPDI (as defined below) securely and carefully. Your Personal Information and/or SPDI will only be used when it is necessary for us in delivering certain essential business functions and activities, including as part of your employment with Finsight. Finsight will not use your Personal Information and/or SPDI for purposes unrelated to the services we provide, subject to first obtaining your consent. In most circumstances the Personal Information and/or SPDI that we collect will be supplied directly by you.
What Personal Information do we collect?
Finsight collects from you, Personal Information as understood under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (“Act”) read with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011 (“Rules”), and other applicable laws of India, only if you provide it voluntarily. It does not collect, use, store or retain sensitive personal data, as defined in the Rules unless you specifically consent to provide the same.
For reference, personal information has been defined under the Rules as any information that relates to a natural person which, either directly or indirectly, in combination with other information available or likely to be available with a body corporate, is capable of identifying such person.
Under the Rules, Sensitive Personal Data or Information (“SPDI”) of a person has been defined as such personal information which consists of information relating to,

physical, physiological and mental health condition;
sexual orientation;
medical records and history; or
biometric information.
The types of Personal Information that may be collected by Finsight include name, address, e-mail address, information relating to income and modes of savings, descriptions relating to nature of activities engaged in by individuals, information relevant for us to perform adequate credit evaluations, etc., subject to the nature and purpose for which such Personal Information is so collected. Most of the Personal Information is collected for service requests wherein information is collected and stored for the purpose of taking action. No information will be shared with any third party.
For the employees of Finsight, Finsight reserves liberties to engage with external agencies to conduct routine background checks, upon receipt of a job application, where information is voluntarily provided by an existing or a confirmed employee (including a potential candidate applying for a job with us). All such information will remain confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party, unless otherwise as specifically provided in this Privacy Policy and as required by law.
The collection of Personal Information and/or SPDI shall be limited to that which is necessary for the purposes identified by Finsight. Personal Information and/or SPDI shall not be collected indiscriminately. Both the amount and the type of information collected shall be limited to that which is necessary to fulfil the purposes identified.
For users who access our Website, Finsight does not collect Personal Information and/or SPDI about you when you visit the Website unless you volunteer to provide that information to us. As ordinary practise, employees at Finsight are required under respective applicable policies at Finsight, to provide Personal Information including SPDI as understood under the Rules (together, “Employee Information”). These may include collection of (a) medical information of the employee for the purposes of insurance; (b) bank account details of the employee for the purposes of payroll; (c) fingerprints of the employee as a matter of security and entry into Finsight’s premises, etc. In addition to the above, Finsight may also require other details from its employees, including (a) date of birth; (b) marital status, for the purposes of family health insurance plan provided by Finsight; (c) number of children, if any, etc.
For applicants seeking a position with Finsight, we will use the following information about you in order to process your application:
personal details such as your full name (and any maiden or previous name), current and previous addresses, nationality, date of birth, marital status and dependents, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and passport, driving licence, national identifier, ethnic origin and disability details;
Details of your emergency contact(s);
Details of your employment circumstances such as offer letters (past or from other employers), your current role, salary, pension, benefits information;
Recruitment information (including copies of right to work documentation, references and other information included in a resume or cover letter or as part of the application process);
Bank account details (account number and bank name);
Information from law enforcement and crime reference agencies; and
Information from credit reference agencies.
At Finsight, we understand the importance of and value each Employee Information. Employee Information is disseminated only for the purposes of procuring policies such as insurance coverages and maintaining data bases. By accepting this Privacy Policy, the employees consent to the disclosure and usage of the Employee Information, as and when required to necessary third parties. Finsight may also disclose Employee Information if it believes in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to comply with relevant laws or to respond to claims or comply with legal process served on Finsight or protect or defend the rights or property of Finsight.

We collect and use Personal Information and SPDI, where applicable, for purposes including:
